May also brought the last day of school for Adam and Luke. (Here is the first day for comparison.)

Luke got his name on the plaque for reading 1,000 books. We are pretty sure he was the only first grader to achieve that this year, so it’s a really big deal. He also got a couple of math awards too. He’s a smart cookie (and he’ll tell you that’s an idiom).

Adam also did well at his awards’ assembly. (We weren’t able to attend that one.)

When the boys got home, we continued our end of the school year tradition of going out for ice cream.
