{"id":690,"date":"2010-07-01T08:30:17","date_gmt":"2010-07-01T12:30:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/?p=690"},"modified":"2010-07-01T08:30:17","modified_gmt":"2010-07-01T12:30:17","slug":"little-mister-11-month-old","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/index.php\/little-mister-11-month-old\/","title":{"rendered":"Little Mister 11 Month Old"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Do you know what today is? \u00a0Today is the first of July.<\/p>\n<p>Do you know what happens in July? \u00a0My baby turns one.<\/p>\n<p>How exactly did this happen? \u00a0It must be the result of some crazy time speeder upper machine. \u00a0That&#8217;s the only logical answer. \u00a0The months have gone by too quickly for it to be any other reason.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/0630001227a.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-691 aligncenter\" title=\"0630001227a\" src=\"http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/0630001227a.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"461\" height=\"346\" srcset=\"http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/0630001227a.jpg 512w, http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/0630001227a-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>My soon to be one-year-old has 5 teeth (with two more ready to break through on the top any day now).<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s dangerously close to walking. \u00a0If he&#8217;s not thinking about it he&#8217;ll take a step or two, but it&#8217;s like when the coyote runs off of the cliff in the roadrunner cartoons &#8211; the minute he realizes he&#8217;s not holding on to anything he sits down.<\/p>\n<p>He loves sports balls and has at least 20 small base\/foot\/basket\/soccer balls. \u00a0He thinks it is especially fun to play catch with other people.<\/p>\n<p>He has mastered the High-5, will throw his arms in the air to give the &#8220;touchdown&#8221; signal, and loves to dance. \u00a0I still need to get some video of his patented dance move &#8220;The Washing Machine&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>He makes a vroom vroom type noise when he sees Uncle Steven&#8217;s motorcycle in the garage.<\/p>\n<p>He doesn&#8217;t quite understand how to drink out of sippy cups yet, but is a pro when it comes to using a straw.<\/p>\n<p>He is an excellent golf cart driver &#8211; aside from the whole not being able to reach the pedals thing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/0625001840.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"0625001840\" src=\"http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/0625001840-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"459\" height=\"344\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>He eats everything &#8211; some recent favorites: mashed potatoes,\u00a0tortellini (but not spaghetti),\u00a0cooked carrots, rice, macaroni and cheese, and popcorn chicken.<\/p>\n<p>He loves to sit on the porch and observe the neighborhood. \u00a0He is a big fan of school buses (much less frequent now that summer has arrived), dogs being walked, people mowing their lawns, kids on bicycles, and other babies in strollers. \u00a0He really, really likes it when the local high school&#8217;s marching band practices outside (we can&#8217;t see them, but we can hear them and dance along).<\/p>\n<p>He charms everyone that meets him. \u00a0Everyone. \u00a0The comment I hear most often: &#8220;He&#8217;s such a happy baby&#8221;. \u00a0And it&#8217;s true, he smiles at everyone and loves it when they smile back. \u00a0He is incredibly easy going and loves being around other people.<\/p>\n<p>He is awesome.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you know what today is? \u00a0Today is the first of July.
