{"id":602,"date":"2010-06-05T23:29:41","date_gmt":"2010-06-06T03:29:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/?p=602"},"modified":"2010-06-05T23:33:13","modified_gmt":"2010-06-06T03:33:13","slug":"may-i-have-a-bit-of-earth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/index.php\/may-i-have-a-bit-of-earth\/","title":{"rendered":"May I have a bit of earth?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After the aquarium we headed next door to the Camden Children&#8217;s Garden. \u00a0It had a lot of great interactive, hands-on activities for kids (not so much for Adam, though he does try to get his hands on anything he can). \u00a0 We still had a good time and it was nice to walk around and check things out.<\/p>\n<p>We were welcomed into the garden by this guy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_3246.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-603 aligncenter\" title=\"IMG_3246\" src=\"http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_3246.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"320\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_3246.jpg 400w, http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_3246-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You know who he is right? \u00a0Give it a little thought, ponder it weak and weary if needed.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone, anyone?<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s Edgar Allan Poe-tato Head of course.<\/p>\n<p>The next stop on our Storybook Garden tour was Alice in Wonderland. \u00a0The little dude was a bit cranky here, having an &#8220;off with their heads&#8221; moment if you will.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_3249.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-605 aligncenter\" title=\"IMG_3249\" src=\"http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_3249.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"320\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_3249.jpg 400w, http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_3249-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>He cheered up a little when we went to the Jack and the Beanstalk Garden. \u00a0We tried having him sit alone in the chair here as well, however&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">There were tons of leaves in the seat,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Which Adam believed he needed to eat,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Perhaps he thought the foliage sweet?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Or sustenance\u00a0to combat the heat?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">But his parents saw (he&#8217;s less than discreet)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">And told him leaves were not a treat.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s probably a good thing I picked a math\/science intensive major.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll just stick to pictures and brief commentary from now on.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_6801.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-606 aligncenter\" title=\"IMG_6801\" src=\"http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_6801.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\" srcset=\"http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_6801.jpg 600w, http:\/\/grimmfamilytales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_6801-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>They also had areas dedicated to The Three Little Pigs, The Frog Prince, and The Secret Garden (which is one of my all-time favorite books).<\/p>\n<p>They had other themes as well. \u00a0The Dinosaur Garden was probably my favorite &#8211;
