On Thursday, June 9th we were blessed by the birth of our second child. Luke David was born at 12:55 in the afternoon, weighing\u00a07 pounds 12 ounces, and measuring 20.5 in long (and of course, is absolutely perfect).<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Dave and I are so thankful to get to be mommy and daddy to another little man. \u00a0I am sure once he’s a little older he and his big brother will give me a run for my money (and more gray hair).<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

But for right now I am just so happy that this little one is (finally) here.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And since he’s so adorable I’ll even forgive him for being 9 days late and forcing the doctors to go in after him.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Adam has been handling the loss of his only child status extremely well. He knows to be “gentle” around the baby and so far isn’t too jealous of the attention he’s been getting. He’s also done a great job of testing out all the baby gear for Luke to make sure it’s safe (sitting in his seat, wearing his hat, etc).<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

He gets a very concerned look on his face whenever he hears his little brother cry and earlier was more than happy to give a few kisses.<\/p>\n

And he’s not the only one that likes to give kisses to this little guy. He might be only three days old, but he’s already one very loved baby boy.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
