More From Our Week

Adam had a doctor’s appointment and we ran into two service animals in the lobby. I’ve seen therapy dogs and bunnies before, but this was a new one.

On our way home we stopped to pick up some groceries. The cashier let Adam come behind the counter and scan all our items. He loved it.

Annie is walking all over the place now.

More pool time!

We spent four hours at baseball today. Both boys had good games.

Maggie asked to be twins again this morning.

Dance Camp

Maggie attended a fairy princess themed dance camp this past week.

They did crafts and learned a short dance routine.

On the last day, they were allowed to dress up.

Maggie picked her favorite princess, Jasmine.

She had such a great time.

Here’s the routine they learned.

Last Bit of Amusement Park Fun

We sat in on a drawing class and learned to draw Lucy van Pelt.

We were able to meet a bunch of the characters after the class.

Charlie Brown really liked Luke’s shirt.

Annie was not impressed.

Not even when Linus offered her his blanket.

Their drawings turned out pretty good!

Annie wasn’t able to go on the rides, since we didn’t have socks or shoes for her. We were able to get her on the carousel* by hiding her feet in Dave’s hat.

The kids practiced their lasso skills – with some help from Linus.

Linus also liked Luke’s shirt – and stole his hat.

When he gave it back, he insisted it needed to be sideways – like Charlie Brown wears his.

It was a super fun day.

*I wasn’t sure what the difference was between merry-go-rounds and carousels. Fun fact: Merry-go-rounds usually turn clockwise (from the outside, animals face to the left), while carousels typically go counterclockwise (animals face to the right).

More Amusement

The kids had front row seats for a show by the Peanuts’ characters (it wasn’t all that crowded).

Sally is now Maggie’s favorite.

While Snoopy is still Luke’s favorite.

These speech bubbles were all over the park. Adam thought this one was funny.

We met Pigpen! He was in the petting zoo area, next to a pig (fitting).

Happy Birthday Charlie Brown

We extended Luke’s birthday celebration with a surprise trip to a local amusement park.

The park has a Peanuts’ theme, so it was perfect for Luke.

Maggie was not happy about the height restrictions at the park. She really wanted to go on the roller coaster behind her with the boys.

She did go on a bunch of rides though, and was not a fan of the log ride.

While the boys were on another non-Maggie friendly ride, she went on this one – four times in a row.

We had a really great day. The weather wasn’t bad, the park wasn’t crowded, and the kids were really, really well behaved (excluding Maggie’s height induced meltdowns – or maybe including, they were pretty funny).

I have more pictures (and videos too), so get excited about that. They’re a lot of fun.
