100th Day of School

Last night at bedtime, Luke stood in front of his closet and said, “I just wish I had a shirt with exactly 100 things on it to wear to school tomorrow.” How could I resist such a pathetic plea?

So an hour and a half later I had a shirt for Luke. When he saw it this morning he told me, “I sort of felt kinda like excited.”

He’s actually wearing the shirt again tomorrow. Luke’s class wasn’t able to finish all of their 100th Day activities today. His teacher told him it would be really great if he could wear it again tomorrow, but if not, that’s okay. So the shirt will be getting a repeat performance (this time with a green shirt underneath).

I will not be taking Dave’s suggestion and making it say 101 or adding another tally mark.

128 Candles

Tuesday is the 100th day of school and Luke had to come up with a project with 100 things. So he made a green birthday cake with exactly 100 candles.

Over the summer, I had picked up some candle stickers on clearance and they worked out perfectly.

I think it turned out great. Luke is pretty proud of it too.

Maggie insisted on making a cake as well.

She’s pretty proud of her cake too.

Annie on the Move

Check out the wheels on this little lady.

Shortly after this video, she crawled over to the couch and pulled herself up to stand. Then she walked herself down the couch to me. She’s getting so big.

Maggie asked me to take a video of her too.

She’s a weasel.

Annie & the Bear

Somebaby is 7 month old today.

I’m not sure how it’s possible that she’s already 7 months old. This past week week she started reaching up her arms for me to pick her up and also using the furniture to pull herself up to stand. She doesn’t do a true crawl yet, but she can army crawl like a champ and is really close to crawling.

She’s fantastic. I know I’ve said it before that we’ve had good babies, but Annie really takes the cake. She is such an easy, happy baby. We all just adore our sweet Anne-girl.

5 seconds, 4 degrees

The boys had another day off from school today. Since Christmas break, they have had four days off due to weather, a bunch of delayed starts, and an early dismissal thrown in there too.  Today’s delay was actually due to the conditions of the roads. There were too many side streets that hadn’t been plowed.

So Adam and Luke got to come with us to Maggie’s ballet class today. They brought one of the games Adam got for Christmas and that entertained them while Maggie danced.

Tonight, the boys had Ninja Class. Luke and I were waiting for Adam in the garage and he came running out without a jacket. I sent him back inside (it was four degrees) for a coat. When Adam got in the van, Luke asked him, “Didn’t you check the degrees calendar?”

That kid cracks me up.
