Luke: Please, can I play outside?

Me: No, it’s too chilly.

Luke: But I have a red hat!

Sort of hard to argue with that logic. I did veto playing outside last night at 10:30, even though he told me he had a flashlight.

Luke is crazy about this map fabric. He keeps calling it his “all the countries blanket”. Once the fabric I ordered for the other side gets here (a US map), then I really will be making it in to a quilt for him.

The other day he took all of the towels out of the drawer in the kitchen and used them to carpet the floor. I asked why he did it, and he gave me his standard Luke response, “Because I said so.” I guess maybe he’s heard that a time or two from me.

When Luke is trying to get the attention of someone he doesn’t know, he will say, “Excuse me, Mr. Sir?” It’s pretty adorable.
