This morning the kids and I went to a parade. We sat with a bunch of friends right in front of a playground and so they had a blast running around before and after the parade.
Adam actually gave this clown a high-five. It surprised the heck out of me because I never would have thought he’d go anywhere near him (I sure wouldn’t – no offense Mr. Clown, I’m sure you’re a really nice guy).
Dave didn’t watch the parade with us, because he was a part of it. There was a steady chorus of “Hi Daddy!” from our little area of spectators as soon as they rounded the corner.
Adam told us later that he didn’t really see daddy because they were all wearing the same camouflage (I added an arrow in case you’re having the same problem). He told Dave that next year he should get a different uniform so that he can find him better.
We all had a lot of fun though. The boys ended up with a bag full of candy, a beach ball, and a balloon. I did have to chase Sherman out of the road once (he was all about that candy), but we ended up with three very tired and happy little kids.
