Sheet! Sheet! Baaa!

Last night I finished the baby’s quilt – which Adam immediately commandeered as his own. He likes to point out the different animals and make their noises.

It’s probably fine that he’s decided it’s his blanket – since it doesn’t appear that his younger brother or sister has any plans to use it in the near future.

Vanilla Bean

This evening we went out for ice cream and for the bargain price of $1.29 Adam was able to get his own kiddie cone. It was the largest “kiddie” cone I’ve ever seen.

Next time we will know to ask them just to fill the cone to the top and not go over. Each time Adam took a bite he held the cone against his chest – that is until he started using his hands.

I think it was definitely worth it though. And I know one sticky faced little boy that would probably agree.

My One and Only

This kid:

  • Is still an only child
  • Does not pronounce the “r” in shirt (and I am not about to correct him because I think it’s hilarious)
  • Says the word “socks” very similarly to how he says “shirt”
  • Took off his shorts and diaper after his nap earlier and “watered” his crib before calling to let me know he was awake
  • Likes to eat frozen blueberry waffles – straight from the freezer
  • Calls frozen waffles “pop” because when he does let me put them in the toaster they pop out
  • Does not fit in any of the 24 month sized shorts I bought him earlier this year
  • Is too skinny for some of the 18 month replacement shorts I bought him too (they will have to do though since I am not about to dig out the 12 month sized shorts he was wearing at the end of last summer)
  • Has a favorite song (The Sad Little Puppy) and loves to sing along to it
  • Knows pretty much the entire alphabet (uppercase)
  • Loves hot dogs
  • Refuses to even try the banana vanilla yogurt I bought him
  • Still loves dinosaurs and lately is a big fan of trains (choo choos) too
  • Has a couple of “Thomas” the trains and “Thomas” shirt too – but does not watch the show because it annoys the heck out of me
  • Will be 2 in less than 2 months
  • Calls horses “yeehaws”
  • Is going to be a great big brother – whenever his sibling decides to arrive
