M-I-C-K-E-Y

I think the lady that lived in our house before us must have been one of JCPenney’s best customers. Every couple of weeks she gets a coupon from them for $10 off of a $10 or more purchase. The coupon is actually addressed to her or “current resident” – which I am more than willing to take advantage off.

Adam and I stopped in to our local Penney’s earlier with a very specific goal in mind. Well, I had a goal. He was instantly distracted by the display of stuffed animals – particularly by the Mickey Mouses (Mickey Mice?) that were almost as big as he is. He carried two of them around as I searched for the shirts and shorts for him I’d seen on the website.

They didn’t have what I was looking for or anything else I that I really thought he needed. So yes, one of those Mickeys ended up coming home with us. In my defense, it was originally $25, on sale for $16, and I had that $10 off coupon – so after tax it ended up being less than $7.50. And if that wasn’t enough of a reason – Adam is crazy about it. So crazy about it in fact that he threw a fit at Lowe’s when I made Mickey stay in the car.

He and Mickey have been inseparable all night. He even had Mickey in his car earlier and pushed him around the driveway (after he realized there wasn’t enough room for both of them to ride). I think it was money well spent.

Fan-tastic

Unfortunately, even with Adam rooting for them, the Sabres couldn’t pull off a win tonight and their season is officially over.

There’s always next year though, and since the only shirt Grandmama could find for him was a 4T – he should still be able to wear it then too. 🙂

Somebunny Loves Him – Okay, Lots of Somebunnies

Adam was one very spoiled loved little boy this Easter.

Check out his haul! The Bunny brought him the basket on the right and mommy made him the sheep – the rest was given to him by his adoring public.

And while I’m on the topic of the sheep, can I just tell you it’s adorable (and I was able to make it during 1 Adam nap)? Even though Adam has picked it up only twice and both times that was just so he could toss it on the floor. He will point to it though and say, “Sheet! Sheet! Baaaaaa!” which is pretty cute.

Here are some more pictures from Sunday (you can click on them if you’d like to see them bigger):

5 weeks to go!

Today is exactly 5 weeks away from my due date. I had a doctor’s appointment today and everything is right on track. I am very anxious to meet this little one and learn if Adam is getting a baby brother or sister. My gut feeling is that we’re getting another little boy – we’ll see if I’m right. It really doesn’t make any difference to me at all. Healthy and happy is all I’m concerned with – being cute doesn’t hurt either – but that’s a given considering the baby’s parents. I mean, look how adorable this one is.

Hot Dog!

Hopefully this works for you, because this video is a must see. Adam is in love with the “hot dog” song from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cartoon (that’s what he’s saying during the video – hot dog). He has to dance whenever he hears it.

It’s pretty much the most adorable thing ever.

Aunt Stacy dresses him funny

This past weekend my sister and future brother-in-law visited and helped me get the yard ready for mower season.  And by “help me” I mean they did it all.  They raked the whole yard, they cleaned out flower beds, and they hauled the debris away. They also swept out the garage, cleaned out my car, helped me dig out bins of newborn clothes, built a dresser for those clothes to live in once they’re all re-washed and did a ton of other little things too. To say that they were a HUGE help is a huge understatement. So thank you guys again – you are amazing and I am so lucky to have you both as family.

It’s not possible.

I have no idea who this kid is. He’s wearing my son’s clothes and playing in my driveway, but this boy can’t be my Adam. He’s too old. My little Adam is just a baby. This child might as well be a teenager. If anyone has seen my little guy, please let me know – because there is no way this one is mine.

Hair Today

Today’s big adventure was another haircut. Adam sat on my lap and fought it every step of the way. He pulled the cape off of himself, he pulled the cape off of me, he stood up, he shook his head “no”, he fidgeted and squirmed the entire time. I am honestly surprised he still has both ears.

In the end we were both covered with hair, but it was worth it. The little guy had a nice new haircut and got his first lollipop.

And for the record, I’ve decided that Daddy can be in charge of taking Adam for haircuts from now on.
