The timing of Luke’s stitches really was the better case scenario. Best case scenario would have been no stitches at all, but since he did have to get them, having it be the day after he and Adam had their pictures done was pretty fortuitous. It also just so happened that he already had a check up scheduled for the day he needed to get his stitches out.
Dave took Adam to the doctor while I stayed home with Adam (he was napping). The first stitch came out easily, the second stitch was more of a problem though. It was tighter than the first and partially hidden by the scab over his cut, it also had some of the glue on it that they had originally used to try to close the cut. Luke was not impressed. He also got two shots today (part of his check up, not related to his head).
Dave felt bad for poor Luke and stopped and picked up ice cream on the way home.
I definitely think the ice cream helped.
