Luke had his six month checkup yesterday. The poor kid got three shots and seemed to be fine, but woke up at 2:30 last night with a slight fever. He was also really restless and it took me until 6:40 this morning to get him back to sleep. This is honestly the first time I’ve had a night like that with Luke. He started sleeping through the night at seven weeks old and even when he did wake up at night all we had to do was feed and change him and he would go right back to sleep (I know, I know, we are so lucky).

I did my little math trick to see what Adam’s measurements were at Luke’s age and Adam would have weighed approximately 17 pounds 3 ounces and was 26 inches long. That came as a surprise to Dave and me (but I checked the math, twice) because we were convinced that Luke is much chubbier and bigger than Adam was.

My only explanation is that Adam’s ginormous melon gave him an unfair advantage, because while Adam’s head was in the 90th percentile (or higher), Luke’s is right at about the 53rd.
